Radiology & Imaging Specialists has consistently been the leader in imaging related technology in Central Florida. In keeping with our focus on technology to serve your patients, we are pleased to announce the addition of a new mobile hybrid Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) unit which arrived on March 30th. This new technology delivers the highest resolution PET/CT images on the market today. Compared with other imaging technologies, hybrid molecular imaging with PET/CT has significantly greater accuracy in detecting early cancer lesions. Cancers as small as 7 mm (the size of a thumb tack) can be visualized, allowing the radiologist to detect lesions often missed by CT alone.
